Esha Deol is set to make her highly anticipated comeback to the film industry after a 14-year hiatus with the forthcoming movie Tumko Meri Kasam. The actress, who has been absent from mainstream cinema for an extended period, conveyed her enthusiasm regarding this return, describing it as a "wonderful feeling" and comparing it to a "homecoming." Esha reflected on this new phase in her career and the unique experience of re-entering the realm of feature films.

In a recent interview, Esha discussed her hiatus from mainstream cinema and the various projects she engaged in during that period, including web series and short films. She reflected on her journey, stating, "Returning to the silver screen after some time is a remarkable experience. It feels like a homecoming... Before this, I was involved in web series and short films, which provided a lot of enjoyment as I explored different formats. However, it was on the silver screen that my career initially took off. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of seeing myself on the big screen once again."

Regarding her role in 'Tumko Meri Kasam', Esha characterized the narrative as distinctly different from her previous work. The film, inspired by a true story, features her as a defence lawyer. "This narrative is unique. It represents a type of film I have not previously undertaken. Based on real events, my character serves as a defence attorney. All the characters, including those played by Anupam Ji, Adah, and Ishwak, are highly relatable. It is a profound human drama that will captivate audiences."

Esha expressed her excitement about collaborating once more with the esteemed director Vikram Bhatt. Having previously worked together, she conveyed her deep admiration for his unique directing approach. "During my earlier project with Vikram Bhatt, he described it as a human drama, a narrative grounded in real life. The prospect of portraying a lawyer instantly captivated me. I have always aspired to partner with Vikram again. As an actor, collaborating with a director of his calibre is immensely rewarding, as he elicits outstanding performances from his cast. He ensures that actors are not merely treated as props," she remarked.

Esha further elaborated on how this role presented an ideal opportunity for her to push her boundaries and explore new avenues in her career. "Now that I have resumed my work, I am eager to undertake something distinct, something that poses a challenge, aligns with my age, and features robust female characters. This role encompasses all those elements."
