Emraan Hashmi, who is widely celebrated for his distinctive, sultry dialogue delivery and passionate on-screen presence, has long been regarded as one of the most romantic actors in Bollywood. In a recent interview with ScoopWhoop, Hashmi broke silence on various contentious aspects of his career, sharing candid reflections, and offered an unfiltered glimpse into his life, perspectives, and challenges he faced.

Emraan Hashmi’s ‘reaction’ on Tanushree Dutta's comment

When the interviewer of ScoopWhoop reminded Hashmi that how his movie, Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005) has made a huge impact on an entire generation, The Dirty Picture-actor soon recalled his co-star Tanushree Dutta's comment on labelling their bond ‘brotherly’ three weeks ago.

Just after hearing it, the show host sarcastically noted their bonding with the Game of Thrones English series that is happening in real life. Soon Hashmi and the interviewer laughed out loud on the show. Truly, it was quite entertaining!

The Murder-actor soon controlled his laugh, and reacted to the ‘brotherly' comment by saying, “What did the director tell her and what did he tell me? I had another narrative going on in my head and she had another narrative going in her head. I was never told the story about incest. I don't know what she was thinking, but fine.”

Tanushree Dutta's ‘brotherly' comment

A few days back, the 40-year-old actress publicly mentioned her collection with Emran Hashmi as brother-sister bond, when she was asked by Filmygyan about their on-screen intimacy.

She pointed out the double standard question by noting that no other leading actresses are called out or criticised for their intimate scenes these days, but she keeps getting judged even after almost two decades of Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Dutta shared that these comments make her disgust because the bond between her and Hashmi has always been like a brother and a sister.

About Aashiq Banaya Aapne

Although Hashmi made his debut with Footpath in 2003, he rose to fame with Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005. The film also starred Tanushree Dutta and Sony Sood in the leads.

The movie is about a young man named Karan, who harbours a deep affection for Sneha. He finds solace from merely watching her smile yet struggles to communicate his emotions to her. However, his unrequited love is put to the test when Vicky, his extremely extrovert and charismatic friend, catches Sneha's eye, drawing her attention away from Karan and creating a complicated web of unspoken feelings, friendship, and rivalry.
