Recently, Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh reflected on his experience working with Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi during the film Jannat, stating that Emraan was rather impolite towards him on set. In response, Emraan addressed Javed's comments in an interview, describing them as strange.

Emraan Hashmi's Response to Allegations of Rudeness

Emraan, who is celebrating his 46th birthday today, mentioned that he does not remember their initial encounter due to the passage of time, but he does recall that he and Javed maintained a friendly relationship. "It’s strange! I was in my 20s at that time, and he is not of my generation, so we were never friends. I didn’t socialize with him, but I don’t recall any of the incidents he describes," he stated.

He continued, "I’m not sure what Javed sahab has taken away from that experience, but it seems to be something he has clung to for 16-17 years. From my perspective, it’s a significant misunderstanding that has escalated into something I am completely unaware of."

What Javed Sheikh said

Javed participated in a Ramadan Transmission alongside Omer Shahzad and Arsala on Aaj Entertainment's YouTube channel, where he discussed Emraan's ungracious demeanour towards him. He recounted, "Mahesh Bhatt was the producer who brought in a new director, Kunal, to helm the project. He thoroughly explained the entire storyline and details to me when I agreed to take on the project, but I had not yet met Emraan Hashmi at that point."

The two finally encountered each other in South Africa at Newlands Cricket Stadium, where Javed expressed his surprise at Emraan's frosty demeanour. “I attempted to greet him with a handshake, but I was met with a notably indifferent reaction. He shook my hand in a dismissive manner and even turned his face away, which truly annoyed me. I thought to myself, ‘Prominent stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan show me great respect, addressing me as Javed Ji, yet this young man carries such an attitude. What does he think of himself?’ When Emraan arrived, I proceeded with the rehearsal but chose not to acknowledge him at all. Throughout the filming process in the following days, I refrained from speaking to him," he added.
