A recent promotional clip for Indian Idol 15 featured Karisma Kapoor becoming visibly emotional as contestants honoured her late grandfather.

Karisma Kapoor Shares Emotional Memories of Raj Kapoor on 'Indian Idol'

Sony Entertainment Television released a new promo for Indian Idol 15, indicating that the forthcoming episode will pay tribute to 100 years of Raj Kapoor. The judging panel included Karisma Kapoor, Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah.

As the contestants performed songs associated with Raj Kapoor, Karisma was moved to tears. In the footage, she expressed her emotions, stating, "I apologize for being so overwhelmed. When I was younger, I often wondered if I could achieve anything, given my grandfather's immense talent. I am grateful for this small opportunity to honour my legacy as Raj Kapoor's granddaughter. Thank you all very much."

PM Modi meets the Kapoor family

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently engaged in a meaningful discussion with the Kapoor family regarding the forthcoming centenary celebrations of the iconic filmmaker and actor Raj Kapoor. He also took to his social media platform X to share key moments from this meeting.

In his post, he wrote, "This year, we celebrate the birth centenary of Shri Raj Kapoor Ji. His contributions to cinema have earned him admiration not only in India but globally. I had the privilege of meeting his family members at 7, LKM."

On December 11, Kareena Kapoor Khan utilized her Instagram account to post several photographs from their encounter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

The collection of images showcased Kareena alongside her husband Saif Ali Khan, as well as Ranbir Kapoor and his spouse Alia Bhatt. Additionally, the group included Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Rima Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra, Nitasha Nanda, Manoj Jain, and Nikhil Nanda.
