Actor Govinda expressed deep emotions while attending the funeral of his former secretary, Shashi Prabhu. A video captures Govinda at Shashi's residence. According to a report by the Times of India, Shashi passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Govinda cries at former secretary's funeral

In the video, Govinda was observed wiping his tears while amidst the crowd. Clad in a white ensemble, he secured a piece of cloth around his head. The actor was also seen with his hands folded during the ongoing rituals.

According to reports, Govinda's former manager passed away at 4 PM at his residence located in Niranjan Society, Chikuwadi, Borivali West. It has been reported that Prabhu had been struggling with heart problems and had recently undergone bypass surgery.

Shashi Sinha, the current secretary of Govinda, discussed the actor's longstanding relationship with Prabhu. In an interview with ETimes, he remarked, "Prabhu has been a close friend of Govinda since childhood. Their bond has been strong from the outset, and for many years, he was also employed by Govinda. I became acquainted with him later on. However, during Govinda's initial challenges, Prabhu was akin to a brother to him. Govinda cherished him as a brother, and their connection remains unchanged to this day."

Sinha further elaborated on Prabhu's involvement in Govinda's political endeavors. He noted that Prabhu played a significant role in managing Govinda's political activities. When questioned about whether Prabhu could be credited for Govinda's entry into politics, Sinha refuted the idea, stating, "No, there was nothing like that."

When Shashi Prabhu spoke about Govinda

In a 2004 interview with Rediff, Shashi discussed Govinda's political path and whether he provided guidance. He remarked, "Indeed, I offer him advice, but I emphasize that he should follow his own judgment. Although I may have more experience in politics, it does not imply that seniors are inherently superior to juniors. Younger individuals often possess their own perspectives. While seniors may have greater knowledge, the youth are more attuned to the contemporary world."
