Once again, Jeremy Allen White's performance in The Bear was recognised at the 2024 Emmys with the best actor in a comedy series award.

Emotional acceptance speech by Jeremy Allen White

"Thank you so much," started the two-time Emmy winner, adding, "My heart is just beating right out of its chest. Thank you. Thank you to the Academy, my fellow nominees. I’m so honoured to be in your company."

In the competition, the actor battled Matt Berry of What We Do in the Shadows, Larry David of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Steve Martin and Martin Short of Only Murders in the Building, and D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai of Reservation Dogs.

Before praising his co-stars, White expressed his gratitude and luck to The Bear creator Christopher Storer for casting him as the show's protagonist. He expressed, "Thank you, my beautiful cast. I love you forever. I love to work with you, and I want us to be in each other’s lives forever. I love you so dearly,” he continued. “This show has changed my life. It instills faith that change is possible if you are able to reach out. You are really, truly, never actually alone."

Ebon Moss-Bachrach also wins Best Supporting Actor

Additionally, for his performance in The Bear, Ebon Moss-Bachrach won the best supporting actor award again.

The simultaneous strikes by writers and actors last year forced the postponement of the 2023 Emmys, and this year's second ceremony will be the 2024 Emmys.
