For some time now, Kangana Ranaut's next directorial Emergency has been in the news for various reasons. It appears that the film has been under the limelight since the day of its announcement. In the middle of all the recent developments surrounding this controversial political drama, the actor playing Sanjay Gandhi in the movie, Vishak Nair, has issued a statement on social media. People who mistakenly think that the actor played Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in this film have been threatening him, according to his Instagram post.

The Anandam star posted screenshots of articles in which he discussed his role in the film along with the message, "I request the people in question to kindly check your facts before spreading hate and misinformation," on social media.

Vishak Nair plays Sanjay Gandhi in Emergency

In Kangana Ranaut's Emergency, which film enthusiasts are excited to see due to its intriguing subject matter and performances, the young star plays Sanjay Gandhi. On September 6, the movie is scheduled to premiere on big screen. Vishak talked about how he readied himself to comprehend Sanjay Gandhi in a recent interview with OTTplay.

The actor claims that Sanjay Gandhi is a mysterious person because there aren't many interviews—especially videos—of the latter. "To know more about his gestures, it took a lot of research as well as attempts to find resources from the Indian Government archives, Reuters, etc.," he said. The actor had also put on 10 or 12 kilos to look like him. He acknowledged that the challenging aspect is getting inside the character's thoughts. 

Vishak played the lead in Manju Warrier's Footage

On August 23, his most recent Malayalam film, Footage, released in theatres. Gayathri Ashok and Manju Warrier are also playing prominent roles in this experimental found-footage narrative. The film is receiving praise for its unique storytelling approach, outstanding acting, and striking cinematography. Editor-filmmaker Saiju Sreedharan has helmed this movie, which is touted to be a must watch in theatres by film enthusiasts.
