Following the stabbing of Saif Ali Khan by an unidentified assailant at his residence in Bandra during the early hours of Thursday, his wife, Kareena Kapoor, promptly notified their eldest son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. The 23-year-old son of Saif and his first spouse, Amrita Singh, quickly made his way to his father's home and transported him to the hospital. However, he first needed to locate an autorickshaw, as there was no one available to drive Saif to the medical facility.

How Ibrahim took Saif Ali Khan to hospital in an autorickshaw

The Mumbai Police report that Ibrahim, along with a staff member of Saif, transported the actor to Lilavati Hospital at approximately 3:30 am. Due to the absence of a driver at that time, they utilized an auto rickshaw for the journey, according to police statements. Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent several surgical procedures. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital's Chief Operating Officer, stated that the actor sustained six injuries, two of which were particularly severe.

Saif Ali Khan attacked

An unidentified individual gained entry into the Bandra (West) residence of Saif and Kareena Kapoor at approximately 2:30 AM on Thursday. The actor became aware of the incident due to a confrontation between the intruder and his domestic staff. According to a source from the Mumbai Police, "When the actor attempted to step in and calm the situation, he was assaulted by the intruder, resulting in injuries to Saif Ali Khan. The police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident." At the time of the attack, Saif, Kareena, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present in the home.

Saif Ali Khan is out of danger

Shortly after noon on Thursday, Saif's team released a statement indicating, "Saif Ali Khan has successfully emerged from surgery and is no longer in danger. He is presently in recovery, with doctors closely monitoring his condition. All family members are safe, and the police are conducting an investigation into the incident." Dr. Uttamani reported that the actor has been moved to the ICU following the surgeries. He will remain under observation in the ICU for a duration of one day.
