Despite the lukewarm reception of his recent film Sikandar, Salman Khan continued to uphold his annual Eid tradition by extending greetings to his fans on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, in light of increased security concerns, the actor chose to address his fans from behind bulletproof glass instead of from his balcony.

Salman Khan continues Eid tradition

On Monday, Salman Khan shared the joy of Eid with his fans from his Galaxy apartment. The superstar greeted the excited crowd while positioned behind the bulletproof glass he had installed earlier this year.

Dressed in a white kurta-pajama, Salman waved to the multitude of fans assembled outside his home. With a radiant smile, he extended his Eid wishes to his followers. He was joined by his sister Arpita Khan's children, Ahil and Ayat.

In the videos, Salman is observed warmly recognizing the excitement of his fans, waving to them and showing his appreciation with a 'namaste' gesture. There are also spontaneous moments recorded where he engages with his niece, Ayat. While conversing with Ayat, Salman gestures towards the large crowd of fans outside, highlighting the enthusiasm and vibrancy of the gathering.

Additionally, Salman shared a video on social media, captioning it, “Shukriya Thank you aur sab ko Eid Mubarak.”

Salman skipped greeting from the balcony and waved through the bulletproof glass as he had been facing death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for the last two years.

Salman has made his return to the cinema for the first time since 2023 with the film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The cast includes notable actors such as Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in significant roles. This marks Salman's first Eid release in two years, with Sikandar premiering in theaters on Sunday, March 30.

As reported by Sacnilk.com, Sikandar generated ₹26 crore on its opening day, a figure that did not set any records. It also falls short compared to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which earned ₹31 crore on its debut. On a global scale, the film opened with a total of ₹54 crore, marking one of the actor's lowest opening figures in recent years.
