Ed Sheeran recently shared a funny story about a super long journey to the UK with Benny Blanco. While joining in on the trending Like a Prayer challenge on TikTok this past Saturday, the 33-year-old singer mentioned that the music producer made him take a boat instead of flying because he was “afraid of flying.”

The Shivers singer shared a story about a trip he wasn't too thrilled about, having to spend “10 whole days” on a boat. But it turned out to be a good time since he and his buddy were working on Sheeran's 2017 album, Divide, during the journey.

Then, he recounted a wild moment when they heard the announcement that they were passing over the spot where the Titanic went down. Sheeran exclaimed, “We’re doing WHAT???!!?” and noted how tourists rushed to the side of the boat to snap photos of the water.

After locking eyes with Blanco, the music producer asked, “Wanna go watch it?” Sheeran revealed they ended up watching the 1997 Titanic movie, with Blanco holding him the whole time. “I can’t help but wonder if this was his plan from the start,” he joked.

“Is he going to paint me like one of his French girls? Will he swing me around to some Irish tunes?” Sheeran quipped. “We could both fit on that wooden door… right?” He then mentioned waking up the next morning, dry and only a bit chilly, saying they made it through the night.

Sheeran also joked that a lot of the songs on ‘Divide’ were written while he was genuinely worried about turning into a Calippo. Wrapping up his funny tale, he asked his fans if they wanted to hear the twist, revealing, “Benny got on a flight a month later.”
