Ed Sheeran is discussing his long-standing friendship with Taylor Swift. In a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast aired on Wednesday, the artist known for "Perfect" shared some uncommon insights about the 35-year-old pop star, including the frequency of their meetings.

When host Alex Cooper inquired about his most cherished memory with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran reminisced about their time together while touring for her album Red during 2013 and 2014. 

“I was living in Nashville, and she was there too, so we would often fly to and from the concerts together,” the 34-year-old artist recalled, adding, “I spent nearly every day with her for about six months.”

Sheeran further disclosed that revisiting “old texts” and “voice notes” from Swift in connection with recent legal matters had evoked a sense of nostalgia for him. He mentioned that he now sees his longtime friend several times each year.

“I meet her when I can,” the Shape of You singer remarked, noting, “I probably see her around four times annually.” He elaborated that during their get-togethers, they engage in a “proper sit-down.”

The Photograph artist explained that rather than merely catching up, they enjoy “six-hour conversations.” “I think that’s a really nice way to do it,” he added.

Although he seldom shares details about his friendship with Taylor Swift, Sheeran told Zane Lowe in a 2023 interview for Apple Music that their relationship serves as a form of “therapy” for him.

“You’re speaking with someone who truly understands, who shares the same feelings, insecurities, and experiences regarding how others treat you, including family and friends,” Sheeran expressed about Swift during that conversation.
