Ed's performance got cut short by the Bengaluru police, so he hopped on Instagram Stories to set the record straight. He mentioned it wasn’t a shock that he was performing there, saying, “We had permission to busk, so playing in that spot was all planned out, not just us showing up out of the blue. No worries though. Catch you at the show tonight x.” He also shared a pic expressing his excitement for ‘Night 2’ in the city.

Bengaluru police didn't recognize Ed and told him to stop his performance, which led to some confusion. One officer even unplugged his microphone while he was still singing, making people question whether it was a spontaneous gig and if he had permission beforehand. However, many fans jumped to his defense on social media, expressing disappointment over the police's actions. After Ed shared his thoughts, folks labeled the whole situation as 'embarrassing,' especially since he had followed all the rules.

Ed Sheeran's tour in India

A four-time Grammy winner rocked Bengaluru on Saturday and is set to hit the stage again tonight at NICE grounds. He just wrapped up a show in Hyderabad alongside Armaan Malik. Sheeran's India tour will also take him to Pune, Shillong, and Delhi NCR. Bengaluru is the only city where he’ll do two shows because of the crazy ticket demand.
