Do Patti starring Kajol and Kriti Sanon is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The film marks the debut of Kriti as a producer. In the film, Sanon has double roles while Kajol plays the role of a cop for the first time. This film is releasing before Singham Again where Ajay Devgn will be seen in a cop role. At the trailer launch, this topic was raised and Kajol was asked whether Do Patti is giving competition to Rohit Shetty's cop universe film or not.

Kajol says she did not take tips from Ajay Devgn

At the trailer launch of Do Patti, Kajol was asked about the film releasing before her husband Ajay Devgn's Singham Again.

The actress said, "I did not take any tips from him (Ajay Devgn). I have no clue (Do Patti cop universe for Kajol hereafter). When you wear a uniform on screen, there is a certain stature and you feel that. Even though you are an actor and this is not the real uniform, you feel that power that comes naturally. I really really enjoyed playing it and I would love to play it again."

When asked who is the real Singham between her and Ajay at home, Kajol pointed toward herself. She said, "I have told this before and on stage also that the real Singham is me."

More about Do Patti

The trailer shows Kajol as a police officer solving a case, while Kriti enters uncharted territory with her debut in the mystery thriller genre. Adding to the intrigue, Kriti plays dual roles – Saumya Sood and Shailee.

The video begins with Kajol interrogating Shaheer Sheikh's character Dhruv Sood. It weaves a tale of deception and innocence. The narrative shifts to Saumya and Dhruv's intense romance, which is interrupted by the arrival of Saumya's twin sister, who tries to seduce Dhruv.

Sharing her excitement for Do Patti, Kajol said in a statement, “As an actor, I have always looked forward to roles that allow me to connect with my audience. This being the first time I play a police officer, I can't wait for my fans to see me in this new avatar. Bringing this powerful story to life has been rewarding”.

Meanwhile, Kriti is producing Do Patti with writer Kanika Dhillon's newly launched banner Blue Butterfly Films. It is Kriti’s second collaboration with Kajol after Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film Dilwale. Do Patti will be released on October 25 only on Netflix
