With everyone buzzing about the upcoming Oscar winners, media outlets are busy compiling their lists. Variety recently included Divya Prabha in their picks for ‘should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress.’ Divya is over the moon about this recognition and shared her joy on Instagram.

She posted, “I woke up to some amazing news today from the famous American trade magazine Variety, which mentioned that I should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress if the film had received a nod. This is incredible!”

She also mentioned that her director Payal had told her that people in America really appreciate her work.

Divya Prabha took on the role of Anu, while Kani Kusruthi portrayed Prabha in Payal Kapadia’s film All We Imagine As Light, which snagged the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024. This groundbreaking achievement caught the attention of film lovers worldwide, shining a spotlight on the movie and its cast.

The story revolves around Prabha and Anu, two Malayali nurses living in Mumbai, as they navigate their lives in the bustling city. Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon also play significant roles in the film.
