The entertainment industry has been abuzz with the ongoing cold war between T-Series head Bhushan Kumar’s wife, Divya Khossla Kumar, and Karan Johar, over the Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra. Divya has been making cryptic comments about the film and its producer, alleging that the Jigra team is inflating box office numbers and copying her film Savi without permission. Now, she has chosen to address the situation more openly, calling out Karan Johar for a comment he made on Instagram. Divya continues to assert that Jigra is a copy of her film and has more to say on the matter.

Divya Khossla Kumar Responds to Karan Johar

Earlier, Divya had posted an Instagram story accusing the makers of Jigra of inflating box office figures, claiming theaters were empty. In response, KJo shared a cryptic post on his social media, stating, "Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools." Divya quickly countered with another Instagram story, saying, "Truth will always offend fools opposed to it."

In a recent interview with, Divya addressed Karan’s comment, saying, “When I speak up, Mr. Karan Johar uses derogatory language to shut me down. Is it right to call a woman a fool for pointing out unethical practices? If this happens to me, what about newcomers to the industry? No one is a king here, and I won’t be treated like a subject. Many derogatory words were used in their PR articles, dismissing my stance as a PR stunt. I don’t need one; I’m already well-known.”

Divya further commented that Alia Bhatt, being a well-established star, doesn’t need to rely on such tactics, like inflating box office figures to deceive the audience. “Alia doesn’t need to resort to such practices; she’s already well-established. But true heroism is in speaking against wrongdoing. Let the audience decide based on merit, not money and power,” Divya remarked. She emphasized that Jigra's opening box office figures were exaggerated.

Allegations That Jigra is a Copy of Savi

Divya Khossla Kumar went on to accuse Jigra of copying her film Savi, as both films reportedly share a jailbreaking storyline. Savi, which was released earlier this year, is an adaptation of the 2010 film The Next Three Days. Divya pointed out that her project was in production first and that the two films have strikingly similar plots.

The connection between both films, according to Divya, is Mukesh Bhatt, who is a co-producer of Savi and also Alia Bhatt’s uncle. She noted, “Yes, this was clearly discussed with him, but I don't want to bring him into the picture because he has family ties and he's 72. I have a deep and respectful relationship with him. But yes, the topic was discussed with him numerous times while shooting the film."
