In an interview with Mid-Day, Divya Dutta expressed her admiration for the film Chhaava, describing it as visually stunning. The actress noted that the cinematography by Laxman Utekar left her with 'goosebumps.' Regarding her role as Soyarabai, Divya remarked, "When he presented the character to me, I realized I had never portrayed anything like this before. It is remarkably distinct in both appearance and personality. The experience of dressing in a particular manner and entering your palace transports you to an entirely different realm."
The actress elaborated on her co-star Vicky Kaushal, expressing her admiration for the Bollywood talent. She remarked, "Vicky is truly charming. He would not leave the set until he has provided guidance to his fellow actors. I would encourage him to depart, but he would decline. Our conversations in Punjabi reflect the strong bond we share, which is essential. He ranks among the finest actors in the industry."
Divya also noted that Vicky is capable of excelling in any role assigned to him, commending his modesty and humility as well.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava was initially set for a theatrical release on December 6. However, to avoid a box office competition with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, the producers of Chhaava decided to delay the film's release. The Vicky Kaushal-starring film is now scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 14, 2025.
The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, is based on the Marathi novel "Chhava" authored by Shivaji Sawant. In this adaptation, Rashmika will portray the character of Yesubai Bhonsale. The cast also features Ashutosh Rana, Neil Bhoopalam, among others.
