Director Shankar, whose highly anticipated film Game Changer is scheduled for release in theaters on January 10, recently mentioned an intriguing possibility regarding a potential biopic. When asked about whose life he would choose to depict in a film, the director of Enthiran openly stated that he would select Rajinikanth as his subject.

Director Shankar, who recently completed work on Indian 2, is now anticipating the release of Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan in the leading role. Known for his work in commercial cinema, Charan was recently inquired during an interview about the possibility of him participating in a biopic.

In a candid response, Shankar mentioned that he has not yet conceived an idea for a biopic. Nevertheless, he expressed that if he were to undertake such a project, it would focus on Rajinikanth. "There are no words to capture his essence, and I have just felt a spark of inspiration. We shall see," remarked the esteemed director.

Shankar further stated that his upcoming two projects will include Indian 3, starring Kamal Haasan, and an adaptation of the historical Tamil novel Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari by author Su Venkatesan, which is planned to be developed as a trilogy.

Director Shankar and Rajinikanth’s films on OTT

Director Shankar has collaborated with Rajinikanth on three notable films: Sivaji: The Boss (available on Aha), Enthiran (streaming on SunNXT), and its sequel, 2.0 (accessible on Prime Video). Each of these films achieved significant commercial success upon their release, ranking among the highest-grossing films of their respective years. While Sivaji is characterized as a commercial entertainer, both Enthiran and 2.0 fall within the sci-fi action drama genre.

In addition, Shankar's upcoming project, Game Changer, is a political action thriller featuring a cast that includes Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Samuthirakani, and others. This film is a Telugu-Telugu-Hindi production and is scheduled to premiere in theaters on January 10.
