The third edition of the OTTplay Awards took place last night, March 22, in a spectacular and dazzling event that celebrated talent from across the country. Stars from various film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu, graced the occasion. Notable figures such as Priyamani, Kani Kasruti, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kajol, Nimisha Sajayan, Neeraj Madhav, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Manoj Bajpayee were among the many celebrities who attended this grand celebration.

Priyamani dedicated her OTTplay Award to the entire Bhamakalapam 2 team

South Indian actress Priyamani received the Best Actor in a Comedy award at the recent ceremony for her remarkable performance in Bhamakalapam 2. Upon accepting the accolade, she expressed her astonishment and nostalgia while on stage. She remarked, "This is the first time I am receiving an award of this nature, especially for a comedic role. I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire team of Bhamakalapam."

With a hint of sarcasm, the 40-year-old actress shared that when she initially signed on for the project, she believed Bhamakalapam was merely a web series. "However, it turned out to be an exceptional web film that resonated with audiences. Everyone embraced it with love and affection. We then created part 2, which also received tremendous appreciation. So, thank you to the entire team, thank you Abhi (Abhimanyu Tadimeti), and to the whole cast of Bhamakalapam 2. This award is for all of you."

Bhamakalapam 2, released in 2024, serves as the sequel to the 2022 Telugu crime comedy drama. Both films are helmed by director Abhimanyu Tadimeti and are available for streaming on Aha, as well as through OTTplay Premium.

The OTTplay Awards 2025 witnessed a gathering of prominent figures from India's OTT industry, celebrating the theme "One Nation, One Award." Esteemed celebrities such as Patrlekhaa, Anupam Kher, Aparshakti Khurana, Raghav Juyal, Avneet Kaur, Divya Dutta, and many others were recognized at this glamorous event, which took place in Mumbai.
