Diljit Dosanjh is set to make an appearance on an American talk show, which is very exciting news. Yes, you read it right. The rockstar and actor will be making his debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Dosanjh made the announcement on his social media pages, and several celebrities and his fans shared their excitement about it.

The Punjabi star shared a screenshot of the upcoming celebrity lineup on the show, which includes him along with Eddie Murphy, Matty Matheson, and Kevin Costner, among others. Dosanjh wrote on his Instagram page in Punjabi, which loosely translates as "Panjabi has arrived, hey! This week’s guest @jimmyfallon @fallontonight @nbc. Bhangra is going mainstream, doing it proper Hollywood."

Diljit Dosanjh's international success and achievements

With his multiple tours and a global fan base, Dosanjh has already established himself as an international star. For the uninitiated, after releasing his 11th studio album, G.O.A.T. in 2020, he made it onto Billboard's Social 50 ranking. Billboard's subsequent chart run placed the album at #1 on their Top Triller Global list. Raj Ranjodh and Arjan Dhillon co-wrote Dosanjh's 12th studio album, Moonchild Era, which he released in 2021. He became the first Indian singer to have three albums that appeared on the Billboard Charts when his album peaked at #32 on the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart.

In April 2023, Dosanjh played at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first Indian Punjabi musician to do so. Times Square in New York City featured him in August 2020, making him the first Punjabi musician to do so.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dosanjh has become quite a rage for his performance in Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila, in which he played the titular role. The Netflix film has topped the charts for its content, performances, and incredible music by AR Rahman.

Moreover, Dosanjh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Jatt & Juliet 3, directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. The actor has reunited with Neeru Bajwa in the film, and they are busy with promotions right now. Jatt & Juliet 3 is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 27, 2024.
