While interacting with Anubhav Singh Bassi on Netflix India, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he is not fond of clothes or swag. However, he said, "When we were in Punjab, the Bollywood films made at the time… they didn’t show Sikhs properly. So I decided that when I do Bollywood films, I’ll dress better than all Bollywood stylists. I know fashion."

The actor added that the fashion trends in New York directly go to Punjab because there is a connection. Hence, Diljit thought that when he would do Bollywood projects, he would show the industry that they were portraying Sikhs wrong. "We are not like this," added Dosanjh.
