Singer Diljit Dosanjh dedicated his concert in Guwahati to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. On Sunday, Diljit shared a video on Instagram following his Dil-Luminati performance. The artist also commended the late Prime Minister and encouraged the youth to draw lessons on handling challenging circumstances from Manmohan Singh's example.

In the video, Diljit expressed his admiration for Manmohan Singh. Reflecting on the former politician's humility, Diljit remarked, "If I consider his life journey, he lived a remarkably simple life. Even when faced with criticism, he never retaliated. This, indeed, is one of the most challenging aspects of a political career."

Diljit remembers the late PM's quote

Diljit also conveyed a quote from the late Prime Minister, which states, "Hazaron jawab o se meri khamoshi acchi, najane kitne sawalon ki aabrun rakhe." This can be interpreted as – My silence surpasses a thousand responses, preserving the dignity of numerous inquiries.

He remarked that it is essential for today's youth, as well as himself, to acquire this knowledge. He emphasized the importance of remaining focused on our objectives, regardless of negative remarks from others or attempts to divert our attention. He noted that those who speak ill of us are also manifestations of the divine, and our responses to such challenges serve as a test of our character.

Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday at the age of 92 in Delhi after a lengthy illness. His extensive political career included significant roles, such as Finance Minister from 1991 to 1996, and he served as the 13th Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, following Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
