Diddy Pushes for Release of 'Freak Off' Footage Amid Legal Turmoil
3 months ago | 5 Views
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is requesting that officials make public nine videos related to his purported "freak-off" gatherings, as stated in a recent correspondence from his legal representatives. The 55-year-old music executive, currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, is confronting significant charges following his arrest in September, which include sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Nevertheless, he has vehemently refuted the accusations and entered a plea of not guilty in court.
Diddy requests to release his ‘freak-off’ videos
On Tuesday, attorney Marc Agnifilo, representing Diddy, asserted in a letter addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian that the release of the so-called "freak-off" videos would establish the rapper's innocence. The correspondence stated, “Upon reviewing these videos, it is now abundantly clear that they affirm Mr. Combs's innocence, and their complete exculpatory potential cannot be examined and utilized unless they are produced electronically,” as reported by The Mirror US.
Agnifilo further argued, “In contrast to the narrative presented by the government to this Court and the public, the alleged 'Freak Offs' were private sexual encounters between consenting adults engaged in a long-term relationship.”
The letter also noted, “Similar to many Americans in the privacy of their own homes, they occasionally recorded their intimate moments. These videos demonstrate that the individual identified in the indictment as 'Victim-I' not only consented but also derived considerable enjoyment from the experience.”
Diddy’s lawyer requests better access to ‘freak-off’ videos
Prosecutors were denied access to the tapes following the charges against Diddy, while his legal team was granted access to the material in November and December.
The correspondence to the judge further stated, “In stark contrast to numerous sensational media narratives, the videos do not showcase sex parties. There are no hidden cameras, no orgies, no involvement of other celebrities, no clandestine tunnels, no minors, and absolutely no indication of coercion or violence. Contrary to the government's salacious portrayals, the videos simply depict adults engaging in consensual sexual activity," as reported by The US Mirror.
As the rapper's attorneys are permitted to view the videos only under law enforcement supervision, they sought improved access to the tapes in a letter sent on Tuesday.
