Dhoom Dhaam The film has commenced streaming on Netflix as of Friday, garnering a variety of responses from both critics and audiences. Starring Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi in the principal roles, Dhoom Dhaam skillfully intertwines elements of comedy, suspense, adventure, and romance, all under the direction of Rishab Seth.

Family arrangements and the family build-up

Gandhi depicts Veer Khurana as a reserved veterinarian from Ahmedabad, who harbors humble hopes for marriage. Unlike Koyal Chadda, he is a vegetarian, suffers from claustrophobia and acrophobia, and exhibits a timid and somewhat slow-witted demeanor, approaching life with great caution. In contrast, Gautam embodies a lively, boisterous, and energetic young woman from Mumbai, who clandestinely engages in drag racing after dark. She takes pleasure in defying her parents' curfews.

The couple exchanges vows in a prearranged marriage. However, their initial night together does not proceed as anticipated. Rather than enjoying a romantic evening, they find themselves embroiled in a gun chase, marked by flying bullets and life-threatening situations. Amidst this chaos, Veer and Koyal discover deeper insights about one another.

Shortly after their initial encounter, the priest informs their families that the marriage must take place within a fortnight. We are also introduced to Khushwant Kapoor, Koko's maternal uncle, who plays a crucial role in the story's conclusion. Both families express immense joy over the union. Veer harbors feelings for the gentle, compliant, and attractive Koyal. However, due to the overwhelming influence of their families, the couple struggles to find quality time together in the two weeks leading up to their wedding.

Misunderstood gesture

Despite the couple's diligent attempts, they are unable to secure a private meeting. To collect some "Shagun," Veer visited the mall, where he encountered Khushwant, Koyal's uncle, who seemed to be in a rush. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, he proceeded to her residence to deliver five bags. Additionally, he brought lilies for his future bride, unaware of Koyal's strong aversion to them, as he has never had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with her. In an unexpected turn, the family dog, Touché, consumed all the flowers, indicating his enjoyment of them.

Finally, the much-anticipated wedding day arrives. Everything appears to be going smoothly until an unexpected ring at the doorbell interrupts their first night as a married couple. Two unfamiliar men knock on Veer's door, posing the critical question of the movie: Where is Charlie? In a sudden turn of events, the men burst into the house, demanding to know Charlie's whereabouts. Koyal reveals her courageous side in an effort to evade the two intruders, while Veer futilely attempts to calm the situation.

Koyal's hidden identity

He receives a call from his mother after an exhilarating escapade in which Koyal maneuvers her vehicle in reverse through the bustling streets of Mumbai. An unknown individual poses the same inquiry and subsequently informs Veer that his family is being held hostage at his wife's farmhouse. During the call, the fierce Koyal vehemently rebukes the man, yet Veer prefers to approach the matter with composure and decorum. He is taken aback by Koyal's remarkable transformation from a submissive figure to a bold and fearless individual.

The expression of horror on his face deepens as Koyal reveals that she has been the reigning champion of drag racing for the past year and a half, employs pirate vernacular, and intoxicates herself to single-handedly vanquish any thugs who dare to challenge her.

Mystery of Charlie

Meanwhile, who is Charlie? At last, the answer they have been searching for has arrived. Sanjay Ribeiro, a CID officer, contacts Veer to provide a detailed account of the events that transpired.

It appears that a faction of corrupt law enforcement officials has orchestrated a crime to misappropriate illicit funds. The entire theft occurred right outside Khushwant's store. The perpetrators saved the surveillance footage onto a flash drive adorned with the image of the iconic Charlie Chaplin. Upon realizing that the police were the actual criminals, he handed it over to them. In their quest for the pen drive, the police soon catch up with him.

While attempting to evade the authorities, Khushwant encounters Veer in a mall. Disguised, he discreetly places the Charlie pen drive into one of Veer's "Shagun" bags. Despite their aggressive search, the police are unable to find the pen drive after assaulting Khushwant. It has finally become clear to them that Veer possesses the Charlie pen drive.

To locate Charlie, Veer and Koyal must first retrieve the five bags. Consequently, two unidentified individuals are closely pursuing them. The kidnappers have instructed the couple to deliver the bags to a designated location to facilitate the rescue of their families, setting the stage for an exhilarating night of searching for Charlie before 8 AM the following morning. Throughout the night, Veer and Koyal traverse the streets of Mumbai in pursuit of all the bags. With each bag they recover, they draw nearer to Charlie, but the journey brings them even closer together.

Newfound connection

Veer, who initially envisioned a compliant spouse, finds himself unexpectedly captivated by the bold, self-sufficient, and untamed Koyal. This newfound connection allows him to shed the self-doubt that has burdened him for an extended period. Remarkably, they draw closer together, compensating for one another's shortcomings.

The sight of Koyal's abduction serves as the final catalyst for Veer. He is poised to flee in order to rescue her when the two enigmatic men from earlier reemerge. Veer threatens to alert CID officer Sanjay Ribeiro about their location unless they cease their actions. Inspectors Sachin Bhide and Harshwardhan Sathe, indeed from the CID, reveal to Veer that Sanjay is the actual perpetrator who deceived him and orchestrated the theft. Furthermore, he intends for Charlie to eliminate any evidence that could incriminate him, having already kidnapped Khushwant and Koyal.

Before 8 a.m., Veer must track down Charlie to ascertain whether he desires Koyal's return. A realization strikes him: the family Touché had inadvertently consumed Charlie while they were feasting on the lilies earlier. Prior to confronting Sanjay, he administers laxatives to the dogs. Upon receiving Veer's signal, the entire CID team swiftly takes cover in a nearby caravan, prepared to confront Sanjay.

Climactic showdown

Charlie finds himself inside Touché's stomach, as Veer informs Sanjay. Concurrently, Koyal confronts the men present, accusing them of binding her. Veer remains calm in an effort to de-escalate the perilous situation. However, one of the men strikes Koyal, igniting Veer's fury and causing him to act recklessly. In a courageous display, Veer takes on Sanjay and his soldiers. The chaotic fight is filled with humorous moments, leading Koyal to develop feelings for Veer. The exhilarating yet painful first night of marriage for Veer and Koyal concludes with the arrival of the CID, who come to arrest Sanjay and his associates.

Finally, in the last scene, Veer and Koyal get the chance to relive their first night together. But the scene cuts to black when the doorbell rings once more.
