Dharmendra and Alia Bhatt collaborated in Karan Johar's film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, which premiered in 2023. The seasoned actor, known for frequently expressing his sentiments about his family and colleagues on social media, has recently extended a heartfelt acknowledgment to Alia. Dharmendra's endearing message for Alia has brought joy to his fans.

In his latest Instagram update, Dharmendra shared a photograph captured during a press conference for the film in 2023. In the accompanying caption, he expressed, “An exceptional artist, beloved daughter-in-law, beautiful daughter. Always praying for RK.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani featured prominent actors Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in leading roles. In the film, Dharmendra portrayed the character of Ranveer's grandfather. Directed by Karan Johar, the film garnered a favorable reception from audiences and achieved significant success at the box office.

Dharmendra is expected to work alongside his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, in an upcoming family-oriented film. Additionally, he will appear in Sridhar Raghavan's war drama Ikkis, which focuses on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of India's prestigious Param Vir Chakra military award.

Alia Bhatt was last featured in Vasan Bala's Jigra and is currently engaged in the filming of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She also has a project titled Alpha in development.

Alia and Ranbir frequently attend public events together. The couple, who were in a relationship for several years, married at their residence, Vastu, in Mumbai on April 14, 2022. Their intimate ceremony was attended by close friends from the film industry and family members, including their mothers, Neetu Kapoor and Soni Razdan. Later that year, they welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor.
