Veteran actor Dharmendra was seen in Mumbai on Tuesday with a bandaged eye. A paparazzo shared a video on Instagram of the actor following a recent medical procedure.

In the video, Dharmendra engaged with the paparazzi, expressing his resilience while discussing his eye condition. He stated, “I am still very strong…I had an eye graft. I will be leaving now, alright?”

After addressing his eye issue, he expressed his affection for his audience, saying, “Love you, audience, love you my friends, my fans. I’m strong.” The seasoned actor had a bandage over his right eye.

In response to the video, one fan commented, “What happened to you, Dharamji? Please take care.” Another wrote, “God bless you. Please take care of yourself.” A further comment wished him a “speedy recovery.”

An eye graft, also referred to as corneal transplantation or keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure that replaces a damaged or diseased cornea with healthy donor tissue to enhance vision or alleviate pain.

Dharmendra celebrated his 89th birthday in December of the previous year, marking the occasion with his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Fans and paparazzi were present as he cut a large cake. He is set to celebrate his 90th birthday this December.

The actor was last featured in Karan Johar's film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, released in 2023. In the upcoming months, Dharmendra is set to appear in Sriram Raghavan's film, Ikkis. This movie is expected to be a war drama inspired by the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously honored with the Param Vir Chakra and led a remarkable life. Additionally, the film features Agastya Nanda, the grandson of the legendary megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
