The most recent update indicates that Dhanush has performed a special song for the film. Music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has composed and recorded this track featuring Dhanush's vocals. DSP, enjoying the success of Pushpa 2, caught many off guard when he was appointed as the music director for Kubera, a high-budget, realistic drama. Sekhar Kammula, renowned for his romantic films, is venturing into new territory by directing a serious, socially relevant narrative.

Nagarjuna's key role in Kubera

Akkineni Nagarjuna plays a crucial role in the film, which narrates the captivating tale of a man's ascent from poverty to wealth. Produced by Pushkar Ram Mohan Rao and Suniel Narang, Kubera is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025. Rashmika Mandanna takes on the female lead, and the project has been in development for almost a year.

This marks Sekhar Kammula's inaugural experience directing a prominent star, particularly a Tamil actor like Dhanush, which has created considerable excitement within industry circles. Sekhar Kammula, a filmmaker with more than twenty years of experience in the industry, is recognized for his socially aware films and his outspoken views on significant issues. There are speculations that Kubera will tackle a critical societal matter and convey a compelling message.

Furthermore, it is reported that Nagarjuna's character will be distinctive, and devoid of typical commercial elements. Sources suggest he portrays a police officer in the film, representing a shift from his conventional roles.
