Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, renowned for her performance in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, has entered the realm of parenthood. She and her husband, Shanawaz Shaikh, celebrated the arrival of their son on December 18, sharing this delightful news with their followers on social media.

On Thursday, Devoleena Bhattacharjee utilized Instagram to reveal the birth of her son. The actress posted a video stating, “We are overjoyed to share the arrival of our precious baby boy on December 18.” The video’s caption expressed, “Greetings, world! Our little angel BOY has arrived...18/12/2024 (sic).” Friends from the industry and fans extended their congratulations to the couple as they embarked on their journey of parenthood.

In June, Devoleena Bhattacharjee addressed the speculation surrounding her pregnancy, stating, "I have received numerous messages over an extended period concerning my pregnancy, which has led to the circulation of various rumours. I assure you that when I am ready to share such news, I will do so personally. For the time being, I kindly request that you refrain from inquiring further." Subsequently, on August 15, she revealed her pregnancy through a touching post accompanied by images from a panchamrit ritual, a ceremony commonly practised by expectant mothers.

Despite the intimate setting, the actress encountered criticism regarding her choice to engage in an inter-faith marriage, with trolls expressing their disapproval. In an interview with E-Times in October 2023, Devoleena addressed the negative comments, stating, “Had I chosen to marry a wealthy individual, I would have been labelled a gold-digger, and if I had wed someone like Shah Rukh Khan, people would have questioned what kind of woman he married.”

Devoleena is widely recognized for her portrayal of Gopi Modi in the long-running television series Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She gained further prominence by participating in Salman Khan's reality show, Bigg Boss 13, which is regarded as one of the most successful seasons in the franchise's history.
