Netflix's Devil May Cry is an exhilarating new series inspired by Capcom’s legendary franchise. This eight-episode series immerses viewers in the world of demon-hunter Dante, who joins forces with Lady to confront the malevolent powers of Hell in a gripping, action-filled confrontation. The season finale culminates in a dramatic showdown where Dante confronts the nefarious White Rabbit and his army of demons in a bid to rescue Earth from imminent destruction.

What happens in the Devil May Cry finale?

 The climactic confrontation unfolds between Dante, Lady, and the White Rabbit, who seeks to enhance his abilities and appearance using demon blood. It seemed he was on the verge of achieving his nefarious goals, having acquired both halves of the amulet and unleashing the Sword of Sparda in its authentic form—empowered by the blood of the two brothers. The White Rabbit appeared to secure his triumph by plunging the sword into Dante, which initiated the opening of Hell’s gates.

Nevertheless, Lady had one demon bullet left, which she fired directly into the White Rabbit's chest, causing him some weakening. Aware that his twin brother is alive somewhere, Dante resolves to survive in order to find him. With this determination, he extracts his father’s sword from his chest, transforms into his demon form, and charges at the White Rabbit. He fatally wounds the villain by stabbing him in the stomach and then cleaves him in half. Following this, Dante separates the amulet from the Force Edge sword of Sparda, effectively sealing the breach to the demon realm and restoring the city, as reported by the Radio Times.

In an unexpected twist, Mary betrays Dante by administering a serum intended to neutralize the dangerous potential of his blood. Consequently, Dante is placed in cryogenic stasis, with his sword and amulet separated and secured to prevent any further misuse.

Meanwhile, Vergil re-emerges, evolving into a more formidable demon form. He aligns himself with King Mundus, the demon responsible for their family's past anguish, and begins to liberate imprisoned demons. The season concludes on a foreboding note as Vergil swears his allegiance to Mundus, setting the stage for darker developments in the forthcoming chapter.

Will Dante fight against the US Army next?

After Dante is rendered unconscious by Vice President William Baines and subsequently imprisoned in a U.S. Military facility. In the meantime, Vergil prepares to command the demon army in its battle against humanity.
