Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has broken box office records and has become one of the biggest hits in India. The movie hit theaters on December 5 and is still showing even after a month. Starting January 17, there will be an additional 20 minutes of footage released. In a recent interview with an online outlet, Devi Sri Prasad, the composer for both Pushpa films, shared some insights about the upcoming third installment..

In a recent interview, DSP shared his thoughts on the third installment of the franchise, saying, “With the excitement surrounding Pushpa 2, Sukumar sir is putting in a lot of effort and passion, continuously refining scenes and the storyline. We’ll be adapting many elements to fit the Pushpa 3 narrative. We do have some ideas and pieces that will develop as we progress.”

Talking about the success of the second part, he mentioned, "Honestly, we anticipated that Pushpa 2 would be a huge hit, especially after the incredible success of Pushpa 1. The expectations were through the roof, which came with its own challenges. But the love we’ve received from all over India, whether in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, or any other language, has been amazing. Fans from Maharashtra, Kashmir, Nepal, and beyond have embraced the film. It’s truly a blessing, and we can only say thank you."

Allu Arjun's film has outperformed SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 in terms of box office collections. With a worldwide gross exceeding ₹1,831 crore and ₹1,438 crore in India alone, this film featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil has become the highest-grossing film in India.

During the film's promotional phase, Sukumar released videos that hinted at more to the story. One video titled Where is Pushpa Raj? suggested that the main character might be thought to be dead but is actually on the run. Many speculated this could be a lead-up to Pushpa 3: The Rampage, although the film’s team didn’t provide any clarification.
