Dev won the Ghatal Constituency for the third time. He defeated the BJP's Hiran. Rukmini Maitra, Dev’s long-time partner, shared an animated photo after this win on her Instagram profile. It shows a tiger jumping on a deer. Did she tease Hiran? 

The fight between Dev and Hiran has been the talk of the town. Hiran has been trolling Dev from the start and making personal attacks. 

However, Dev avoided all controversies and used courtesy as his weapon. He handled the attacks with a smiling face. People think that this is his key factor. Rukmini was elated after Dev's victory. But Dev maintained courtesy even after winning. He shared a photo of the friendship between a tiger and a deer and wrote. “It's ok...Love is bigger than hatred.” 

Dev, confident about his victory, said, “I was chased by the CBI for the last three years. I was blackmailed. My Ghatal constituency gave a fitting reply. The entire country retaliated. This victory goes to Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee. My responsibility increased. The ups and downs of the result all over India will help to materialize the Ghatal Master Plan.” 

Dev teased Hiran, “The BJP candidate Hiran Chatterjee also contributed to my victory. Ghatal's people did not take it lightly the way he played dirty politics and did mudslinging. Hence the TMC's margin here increased this time.” 

Rukmini Maitra has paired up with Jeet in their upcoming film, Boomerang. The film will be released on June 7.
