Her son, Sebastian, shared the news on Wednesday via her Instagram, revealing that she had succumbed to the injuries after undergoing emergency brain surgery in late December.

Lynn Ban, a celebrated jewellery designer originally from Singapore, ran her own label, Lynn Ban Jewelry, which gained a following among high-profile celebrities like Rihanna and Beyoncé. On Wednesday, her son shared heartfelt photos and memories on Instagram, announcing her passing on Monday. In his emotional message, he wrote, "I know my mum wanted to share her journey after the accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post to inform those who supported her."
He went on to reflect on the kind of person his mother was, describing her as his best friend, an incredible mother, and a selfless woman who always wore a smile, even through the hardships of her recovery. "She was a fighter until the end, the strongest woman I know," he wrote.
He also praised her sense of humour and the care she gave to their family, promising to honour her memory. "Although she's gone, I will ensure she is never forgotten and her life is celebrated as it should be," he said. Concluding with a deeply personal message, he added, "I will miss you forever, Mum. As you always told me, 'I love you more than life itself.'"

Singer Rihanna is among those honoring Lynn Ban's memory. She left a heartfelt message on Sebastian's post, writing, "2025 is rocking me at this point! This is too much!!! Lynn Ban shared with her fans details of her accident that took place in Aspen, Colorado, while she was vacationing with her family on December 30. She posted a photo showing herself with a partially shaved head and an incision from the emergency craniotomy she underwent on Christmas Eve. In the Instagram post, the jewellery designer explained that she had been enjoying the vacation when the accident occurred at the top of the mountain. Although she was wearing a helmet, she still reached out to the ski patrol to be checked for a possible concussion.
