Nevertheless, social media focused on another incident from the event, in which she seemingly overlooked Kylie Jenner. In response to the ensuing speculation, Demi's daughter, Tallulah Willis, has clarified that these rumours are unfounded.

In the widely circulated video from the event, Demi was observed enthusiastically engaging with actress Elle Fanning, while Kylie Jenner was seated beside her. Despite Kylie's smile and gaze directed towards Demi, the latter chose to bypass Kylie's chair to extend her congratulations to actor Timothee Chalamet instead. This incident gained significant attention on X, with numerous users commenting on Demi's apparent disregard for Kylie.

What Demi's daughter said in response

In response to the allegations, Tallulah Willis, Demi's daughter, addressed the matter on her Instagram Stories, providing clarification to quell the speculation. She stated: “Hello everyone, but particularly to the press — let’s put this to rest. We celebrated New Year's with Elle, so it was entirely natural to connect with her after her achievement. This angel was overwhelmed with joy, moving through a warm gathering of supporters. There was no snub whatsoever; had she noticed KJ wishing to congratulate her, she would have gladly offered her time and attention. Please, let’s allow her to relish in her successes!”

Concurrently, Demi shared images from her significant evening on her Instagram, including a moment when she video-called her daughters to show them the award. “I woke up this morning still in disbelief but filled with immense joy, love, and gratitude for this honour and recognition. I am profoundly humbled, and the little girl within me is exclaiming F*** YEAH! Thank you for your support and kind words, and thank you @goldenglobes,” she captioned the post.

The Substance is a body horror thriller directed by Coraline Fargeat. During her acceptance speech, Demi recounted an incident from 30 years ago when a producer referred to her as a "popcorn actress." She expressed that she would regard this award as “a symbol of my completeness.”
