Before making her significant Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone appeared in the music video for Naam Hai Tera, performed by Himesh Reshammiya. Recently, the musician-actor reflected on his collaboration with her, characterizing her as a "star from day one." Despite having introduced several female actors throughout his career, he asserted that none have achieved the same level of success as Deepika.

Himesh conveyed to Pinkvilla that although they introduced several other female artists, none achieved the level of success that Deepika Padukone did. He emphasized that her accomplishments are entirely her own. From the time she featured in the music video for "Naam Hai Tera," she quickly rose to stardom. He described her as an extraordinary individual, noting that her screen presence, dedication to her craft, and strong work ethic were evident even at that early stage in her career.

Deepika and Himesh came together once again on Indian Idol 11, where she appeared as a guest and he served as a judge, several years after their collaboration in the music video. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and admitted that she had been entirely unprepared for the filming of the music video.

The learning experience for Deepika Padukone

When Deepika Padukone was selected for the music video, she was completely unfamiliar with the process. She had never been exposed to a film set and lacked knowledge about the production of music videos. Throughout the filming, she acquired the necessary skills for her current role. Deepika expressed her gratitude to Himesh for providing her with this opportunity, especially after others had lost faith in her potential.

Himesh recently featured in the film Badass Ravikumar as part of his professional endeavors, while Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. She has upcoming projects, including a sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, there are circulating reports suggesting that Deepika will make a special appearance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Love & War.
