Actor Deepika Padukone kicked off a special show by fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee in Mumbai, celebrating 25 years of his brand. This marks Deepika's first time on the runway since she and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh.

Deepika hits the runway for the first time since welcoming Dua

A bunch of photos and videos of the actor strutting down the runway popped up on social media. For the occasion, Deepika rocked a relaxed cream shirt paired with matching trousers and a trench coat. She topped off her outfit with some eye-catching statement jewelry. Her hair was styled in a high bun, and she also sported some stylish glasses. A paparazzo even shared a video of Deepika from the event on Instagram.

Fans are saying that Deepika resembles Rekha

Someone reacted by saying, "DP really owned it! She just had a baby and is rocking her new body and role like a total queen." Another fan chimed in, “A TRUE QUEEN @deepikapadukone is continuing Rekha ji's legacy.”

One comment noted, "Is that Deepika or Rekha? I honestly thought it was Rekha." Another social media user mentioned, "I’m her biggest fan, but it took me a solid 5 minutes to figure out if this was Deepika." An Instagram user added, "Deepika could totally play Rekha in a biopic."

Who showed up at the event?

A bunch of Bollywood stars showed up at the event, including Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ananya Panday, Siddharth, Shabana Azmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Bipasha Basu. They all hit the red carpet to celebrate Sabyasachi's 25 years in the fashion game.

Deepika's latest movie is making waves

Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty's action-packed film, Singham Again, where she took on the character of Shakti Shetty, also known as Lady Singham. The movie featured a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. As of now, Deepika hasn't revealed what her next project will be.

On a personal note, Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their daughter on September 8, 2024, after getting married in 2018.
