Ayan Mukerji's father, the esteemed actor Deb Mukherjee, passed away at the age of 83 on Friday morning. Numerous celebrities visited his residence in Mumbai to offer their condolences.

Actor Alia Bhatt, a close friend of Ayan, visited his residence accompanied by her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. She returned from Alibaug on Friday morning, where she had been vacationing with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. He has also returned to the city to support Ayan during this time.

Kajol and her son Yug were also present at the residence, as Kajol is the niece of Deb. Additionally, actor Jaya Bachchan, who is acquainted with him, was spotted at the house as well.

Deb was a familiar face at the Durga Puja celebrations held at the pandal of Kajol and Rani Mukerji, where he was often seen sharing smiles with attendees and engaging in the rituals alongside his family members.

Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee passed away at the age of 83 on Friday morning due to health issues related to aging, as confirmed by his spokesperson to Zoom. A prominent member of the Samarth-Mukherjee family, he was the father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and the father-in-law of director Ashutosh Gowariker.

His funeral service is scheduled to take place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu on March 14 at 4 PM. Numerous relatives, including Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Tanuja, Tanisha, and Aditya Chopra, are anticipated to be in attendance. Additionally, close friends of Ayan Mukerji, such as Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, are expected to come to pay their final respects.
