Tom Cruise has enhanced the significance of Super Bowl Sunday. The actor and producer unveiled an additional exclusive teaser for his forthcoming film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

The latest teaser features Tom once again taking to the skies, this time in a rather precarious position on the exterior of an aeroplane. The preview opens with Ethan Hunt engaging in his signature sprint as dawn breaks over a forest. He subsequently plunges into the water, clings to the side of a flying aircraft, and shares a heartfelt moment with a few companions for what may be the final time. Vanessa Kirby and Hayley Atwell also make appearances alongside him.

Tom recently disclosed that he often lost consciousness while executing a vital stunt in his forthcoming spy action film, which required him to cling to a plane while inverted at an elevation of 10,000 feet.

From filming an action scene on a fast-moving train to skydiving and ascending the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, Cruise has seemingly undertaken every perilous stunt imaginable.

However, this particular sequence in "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" proved to be quite challenging, even for the legendary action star.

In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Cruise, aged 62, revealed that he encountered difficulties with oxygen while performing a stunt.

"When you extend your face out at speeds exceeding 120 to 130 miles per hour, you are deprived of oxygen. Consequently, I had to condition myself to manage my breathing. There were instances when I would lose consciousness; I found it challenging to re-enter the cockpit," he explained.

The scene, which depicted the actor suspended from the wing of a 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane, was included in the teaser trailer for the film released two months prior.

On Friday, Cruise also posted a behind-the-scenes video of the same sequence on his X account, accompanied by the caption "Hang on."

"Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" marks the return of the actor, who has portrayed Agent Ethan Hunt since the inaugural "Mission: Impossible" film in 1996, and reunites him with director Christopher McQuarrie, who has directed the successful franchise since the fourth instalment, "Rogue Nation" (2015).

Produced by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, the film features Hayley Atwell and Vanessa Kirby among its cast and is scheduled for release in May.
