Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor recently encountered criticism online following his remarks regarding polygamy. In response, he has addressed the issue during his show Mehfil-e-Ramzan, where he clarified his statements and shared that he and his wife, Ayeza, found humor in the public's reaction to his comments.

Danish Taimoor addresses criticism over his recent comments

In a recent episode of Mehfil-e-Ramzan, Danish welcomed his wife, Ayeza Khan, as a guest. During their discussion, he made a statement, "I am permitted to have four marriages," which drew backlash on social media. In a subsequent episode, the actor responded to the criticism by sharing, "Ayeza and I were reading the comments and laughing."

He further emphasized his position, stating, "As I previously mentioned, I am permitted to marry four times, but I am not pursuing that because, at this moment, I love my wife. I continue to uphold this belief."

In response to the backlash regarding his comment, "For now, I want to spend my life with her," Danish defended his words by explaining, "I used the term 'for now' because I cannot predict whether I will leave this place and still be alive. What if I were to die in the next moment? The concept of 'forever'—nothing is truly everlasting."

The actor criticized online judgment, asserting, "Gossiping is inappropriate. How can people pass judgment on others? Only you and Allah are aware of what resides in your heart."

What Danish Taimoor said

I have the right to marry four times; however, my choice not to do so is a separate issue. This permission has been granted to me by Allah, and it is something that cannot be taken away. Nevertheless, out of love and respect for Ayeza, I prefer to spend my life solely with her at this time. His remarks have led to online criticism, with many labeling him as "toxic" and expressing sympathy for Ayeza Khan.

Ayeza and Danish are prominent figures in the Pakistani television industry. The couple initially connected through a social media platform and got married in 2014 after an eight-year courtship. They welcomed their daughter in 2015 and their son in 2017.
