Critics Choice Awards 2025: Diljit Dosanjh Beats Abhishek Bachchan to Best Actor Win

The Film Critics Guild has revealed the recipients of the Critics' Choice Awards 2025. This year, a new category, Best Documentary, recognized outstanding feature-length documentary films, with Nocturnes receiving the award for its impactful storytelling.

In the Feature Films category, All We Imagine As Light was awarded Best Feature Film, celebrated for its engaging narrative and artistic merit. Diljit Dosanjh was honored with Best Actor for his exceptional portrayal in Amar Singh Chamkila. While accepting the Best Actor award for his role in Amar Singh Chamkila, Diljit Dosanjh expressed his sincere appreciation, stating, “Thank you to the Film Critics Guild for this award, bohot bohot shukriya for considering me worthy of this honour. I dedicate this award to Amar Singh Chamkila and to Imtiaz sir, who brought this beautiful film to life. I just had the chance to be a part of it—it was entirely Imtiaz sir’s hard work. A big thank you to the entire cast and crew of the film.”

Darshana Rajendran was awarded Best Actress for her compelling performance in Paradise. Ravi Kishan received the Best Supporting Actor award for his notable role in Laapataa Ladies, while Kani Kusruti was recognized as Best Supporting Actress for her significant contribution in Girls Will Be Girls.

In the Web Series category, Poacher emerged as a prominent winner, taking home the title of Best Web Series. Nimisha Sajayan was named Best Actress for her role in Poacher, and Barun Sobti won Best Actor for his performance in Raat Jawaan Hai.

Obur excelled in the Short Films category, winning Best Short Film along with several other honors. Harish Khanna was recognized as Best Actor for Jal Tu Jalaal Tu, while Jyoti Dogra’s performance in Taak (Tracker) earned her the Best Actress award, showcasing the exceptional talent present in this field.
