Rajinikanth is joining hands with talented filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, for his upcoming project Coolie. The movie, which marks the legendary superstar’s 171st outing in Tamil cinema, garnered attention recently with its highly promising character poster series. Recently, the Coolie crew members took to their official handles and confirmed that the Vizag schedule of the project wrapped up today (October 4, 2024). Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently opened up about the project, and dropped major updates on Rajinikanth’s health condition.

The popular filmmaker, who recently wrapped up the second schedule of Coolie in Vizag, addressed the media after the same. Lokesh Kanagaraj, who opened up about Rajinikanth’s health condition, revealed that he spoke to the legendary superstar recently, and he is recovering well. According to the filmmaker, the leading man informed the team about his plans to get the non-surgical procedure done by the end of September 2024, before they kickstarted the Vizag schedule.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who revealed that Rajinikanth was not admitted due to any medical emergency, further added that the same was exaggerated by the media. The filmmaker stated that the media reports caused panic among the Coolie team, even though the superstar spoke to them about his treatment before. According to director Lokesh, the team wouldn’t have continued with the shoot if the leading man was seriously ill. Sun Pictures, on the other hand, would have immediately cancelled the shoot, if it was an emergency.

Rajinikanth to resume Coolie shoot in October

The filmmaker, who spoke about Coolie shoot plans, revealed that Rajinikanth wrapped up his Vizag portions on September 28, 2024. The next schedule of the upcoming action thriller film will start rolling in Chennai, on October 15, 2024, after the Ayudha Pooja break. The superstar, who is under bed rest for three weeks after undergoing the non-surgical procedure, is planning to resume the filming of the project by the last week of October.
