Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, and his partner Dakota Johnson were recently spotted at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. A fan has since posted a video on Instagram capturing the moment when they encountered the couple at the event.

A video was shared on Instagram by an individual named Bharat Chaudhary, showcasing himself and his partner as they entered the water for a swim. As he focused his camera, Chris and Dakota were observed nearby, also preparing to take a dip. In the footage, Chris was dressed in black shorts, while Dakota chose to wear a kurta paired with trousers.

At one moment in the video, Chris was captured smiling at Bharat's partner with his hands folded in a gesture of respect. He was also depicted in a moment of prayer, with his eyes closed and hands clasped. The text accompanying the video stated, "When you chose Kumbh over Coldplay but Mahadev has different plans and Coldplay comes to you!! Chris Martin wins for his respect to triveni Sangam and kumbh!"

Bharat posted the video with the caption, "When attending the concert is not an option, the artist visits you—at Kumbh Mela! I participated in a Sangam Snan alongside Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Dakota, who honoured each ritual with profound reverence. While music brings people together, faith elevates us beyond. Har har Mahadev!"

In response to the video, one admirer commented, "It is impressive to see him embracing culture and rituals as a British individual, participating in traditions without any reservations." Another remark stated, "When you are unable to attend a Coldplay concert, Coldplay comes to you!" A viewer expressed, "This is among the finest reels I have encountered this year." Additionally, someone noted, "Chris Martin and Dakota at Kumbh?! A collaboration we were unaware of but certainly required."

About Chris and Dakota in India, the Coldplay tour

On January 27, Chris and Dakota were spotted in Prayagraj, seated in a vehicle while attired in saffron-coloured garments. They arrived in India on January 16 as part of Coldplay's musical tour. Chris, along with his bandmates, performed concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The final show of the Indian segment of the Music of the Spheres tour took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day.

During the concert in Ahmedabad, Chris delivered a moving tribute to India by performing patriotic songs, including Vande Mataram and Maa Tujhhe Salaam. His heartfelt rendition captivated the audience, who responded with enthusiastic cheers and applause. He concluded the performance by stating, "Salute to Mother India," and conveyed Republic Day greetings to all present.
