In a surprising turn of events, Robby Keene and Sam LaRusso have indeed become a couple off-screen, particularly as their respective actors, Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser, are now engaged.

The couple confirmed their previously private romance during the Netflix series finale event on February 12, where they publicly showcased their relationship on the red carpet with a kiss and what appeared to be diamond engagement rings. While their initial display sparked speculation regarding their romantic involvement, Tanner and Mary later solidified their commitment with a joint post on Instagram.

The Cobra Kai co-stars announced on social media this Thursday their engagement, expressing their joy in sharing this significant milestone in their lives. They described it as a moment that marks the conclusion of one chapter while celebrating the beginning of another. They conveyed their gratitude for the love and support they have received, and although they prefer to keep certain moments private, they are eager to share this update with their fans.

Buchanan candidly expressed to PEOPLE during the Wednesday event that Mouser is “a hundred per cent” his confidant. “However, to be truthful, it’s literally everyone,” he continued. “There isn’t a single individual with whom we don’t socialize and enjoy ourselves, and we consistently affirm that we intend to remain in each other’s lives indefinitely. I find it difficult to articulate.”

The spin-off series of The Karate Kid first premiered on YouTube in 2018 before making its debut on Netflix in 2020. Season 6 is set to be the concluding chapter of the series.

Other Cobra Kai co-stars who are dating/have dated

Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser are not the initial real-life couples associated with the series. Co-stars Peyton List, who portrays Tory Nichols, and Jacob Bertrand, recognized as Eli Moskowitz publicly acknowledged their relationship in March 2022. The two had previously collaborated on the 2016 Disney Channel original film, The Swap.

Additionally, Xolo Maridueña, who plays Miguel Diaz, was in a relationship with his co-star Hannah Keple, known for her role as Moon, for approximately three years. The exact timing of their breakup remains uncertain. Nevertheless, all traces of their relationship on Instagram disappeared sometime in 2022.
