There exist two individuals named Abhishek Banerjee within the Bollywood industry—one is a writer, while the other is an actor. It is important to distinguish between the two. The actor, Abhishek, emphasized the necessity of acknowledging the contributions of the writer, stating, "He has rightfully earned his recognition." According to IMDb, the writer Abhishek Banerjee has co-written the 2018 horror film Pari, directed by Prosit Roy, as well as two forthcoming projects: Prosit’s cricket-themed drama Chakda X'Press and Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film featuring Bobby Deol.

The actor Abhishek Banerjee further elaborated that, despite his accomplishments as a casting director and actor, he lacks the writing talent that his counterpart possesses. He humorously remarked, "If I were to attempt writing, it would likely be dismissed more swiftly than my initial audition." He added, "Rest assured, if a piece is well-crafted, it is undoubtedly his work." The actor also recounted his acquaintance with the writer from his earlier, more challenging days, playfully suggesting, "You might want to consider changing your name. About Paatal Lok Season 2

The inaugural season, which debuted on Prime Video India in 2020, focused on Hathiram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat), an experienced police officer from Delhi, alongside his subordinate Imran Ansari (Ishwak Singh). They investigated the attempted assassination of a prominent television journalist, portrayed by Neeraj Kabi. The season was helmed by directors Avinash Arun Dhaware and Prosit Roy.

The subsequent season, which launched earlier this month, follows the pair as they endeavour to unravel the murder of a notable politician from Nagaland in Delhi. The series is written and created by Sudip Sharma and directed by Avinash Arun. Produced by Clean Slate Films in collaboration with Eunoia Films, the eight-episode second season of Paatal Lok features performances from Gul Panag, Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Baru
