Maddock Films is enjoying significant success with its recent film productions. Following the success of last year's Stree 2 and the impressive box office performance of Chhaava, the production company continues to deliver popular films. Their upcoming project is Bhool Chuk Maaf, a romantic comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. During a press conference prior to the trailer launch, the head of Maddock Films shared insights on the current landscape of Bollywood and the narratives that need to be explored.

What Dinesh said

At the press event, Dinesh stated, according to a report from News18, “It is crucial to hope for the success of everyone in the industry. Our success alone is insufficient. I cannot comment on what I am doing differently from others. We learn from our experiences. Currently, we are not seen as aspirational in the West; our perspective is distinctly Indian. The average viewer seeks stories that resonate with them. While the general audience attends theaters on Fridays, a more elitist crowd tends to arrive 8-9 days later. The people we associate with are vital, as they will influence our decision-making.”

‘The new Bharat is proud of who they are’

He further remarked, “I consider myself fortunate that my writers and directors are grounded individuals who connect with the essence of the new Bharat. Understanding our identity is essential, as the new Bharat takes pride in who they are.”

Bhool Chuk Maaf will be Maddock Films' third release this year, following the success of Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar, and last week's Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 9.
