Chum Darang has finally addressed Elvish Yadav's racist remarks, just a few days after he clarified his position on the issue. Elvish made derogatory comments about Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum, calling her name disgusting. He also brought up her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Gangubai Kathiawadi. After some time since the podcast aired, Chum decided to speak up. Here’s what she had to say...

Chum Darang speaks out against Elvish Yadav

Chum Darang has called out Elvish Yadav for disrespecting her name and identity. She made it clear that it's 'not fun' and that mocking someone's achievements isn't 'banter.' She emphasized the need to distinguish between humor and hate. "What’s even more disappointing is that this isn’t just about my ethnicity; my hard work and a film supported by a visionary like Sanjay Leela Bhansali were also disrespected," she said. Chum expressed solidarity with her fellow Northeasterners who often face such racist remarks. "I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you. We all deserve respect, dignity, and equality," she stated. She concluded her message by urging everyone to foster a culture of empathy, kindness, and understanding.

Elvish Yadav's remarks about Chum Darang

When Elvish was on the podcast with Rajat Dalal, they ended up trash-talking the two women who made it to the top 6 of Bigg Boss. Rajat mentioned that guys marry women like Eisha Singh because they want a maid, while Elvish had some harsh words for Chum, saying, "Her name itself is suggestive, and her work is like Gangubai Kathiawadi." He even questioned what Karan Veer Mehra saw in Chum Darang, adding, "Karanveer must have had COVID because who actually likes Chum? Seriously, whose taste is that bad?"

Bigg Boss 18 winner drama

Rajat Dalal seemed to be the favorite to win Bigg Boss 18 at first, and Elvish Yadav really put in the effort to rally support for him through the Elvish Army. However, the final outcome was a surprise. Rajat ended up as the second runner-up. Vivian Dsena, who was also a fan favorite, took the first runner-up spot, while Karan Veer snagged the trophy right after winning Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Karan shared his feelings for Chum during the show, but they haven't made their relationship official outside yet.
