Coldplay has arrived in India! Chris Martin, the lead singer of the well-known UK band, was spotted at the Mumbai airport with his partner Dakota Johnson, who is famous for her roles in movies like Fifty Shades of Grey and Madame Web.

As Chris landed in Mumbai, he greeted the paparazzi with a classic ‘namaste’ gesture.

The tour that's coming up

Coldplay's upcoming concerts in India are expected to be the biggest event of 2025.

As part of their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour', the British band will hit the stage for three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. They'll also have a fourth performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25.

The last time they played in India was back in 2016 during the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.

Kids are not allowed on stage

The District Child Protection Unit in Ahmedabad has sent a notice to Chris Martin and the Coldplay concert organizers, telling them not to have any kids on stage during the concert at Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26, 2025.

They’ve also been instructed to make sure no kids get into the venue without earplugs or some kind of hearing protection.

The Unit pointed out that sound levels over 120 decibels could seriously harm kids' health.

If they don’t follow these rules, the District Child Protection Unit will take strict action.

This notice comes after a complaint from Pandit Rao Dharnevar, an Assistant Professor of Sociology in Chandigarh.

Dharnevar told ANI that having kids at concerts with loud noises and flashing lights can negatively impact their physical health and mental growth. He also mentioned he plans to keep advocating for children's rights in the future.

Previously, he had filed a complaint against Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh's New Year's Eve concert in Ludhiana.

The Deputy Director of the Women and Child Department in Punjab responded to a complaint by sending a formal notice to the District Commissioner of Ludhiana. The notice requested that the singer be stopped from performing certain songs during his live show on December 31, 2024.

It specifically targeted songs linked to promoting alcohol, like 'Patiala Pegg,' '5 Tara Theke,' and 'Case (Jeeb Vicho Feem Labbiya),' even if the lyrics were changed.

Dharnevar raised concerns about the influence of these songs on young audiences, especially when underage kids are in attendance. (ANI).
