After their show in Ahmedabad, Chris Martin from Coldplay decided to take a break on Monday and check out the Maha Kumbh Mela with his girlfriend Dakota Johnson.

Chris was spotted arriving at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with his girlfriend Dakota on Monday, just a couple of days after his thrilling performance in Ahmedabad on January 26.

A video making the rounds on social media shows the couple pulling up to the mela, with Chris looking super excited as they navigate through a crowd of eager fans. He was all smiles, making playful faces and gestures, really soaking in the vibrant vibe around him. At one moment, he even playfully stuck his tongue out for the camera.

The Mahakumbh Mela kicked off on January 13, 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and will wrap up on February 26. A ton of devotees have gathered at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati rivers meet, to take a sacred dip in hopes of spiritual purification and achieving ‘Moksha’.

Coldplay, fronted by Chris Martin, rocked five shows in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. They kicked things off with three concerts in Mumbai, then headed to Ahmedabad for two back-to-back performances at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

On Sunday, the band tweeted that the crowd hit 1.34 lakh, making it the first ticketed concert in India to draw over a lakh attendees. Previously, the biggest ticketed shows were by Diljit Dosanjh and Justin Bieber, each pulling in around 50,000 fans. Yo Yo Honey Singh claimed his 2020 concert in Haldia attracted 2 lakh people, but that number was never independently confirmed.

While in India, the couple took some time to soak in the local culture. Their visit to the historic Shri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai was widely shared on social media, with plenty of videos and photos popping up online. Dakota also checked out Siddhivinayak Temple alongside Sonali Bendre and Gayatri Joshi.
