Chris Martin sings for BTS
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the user @btschartsdailyc, Chris stated, "We are now going to perform in Korean. We will sing for those you cherish. We will sing for our brothers, BTS." Nevertheless, Chris had to abruptly halt the performance to ensure the safety of a fan present in the audience.
Fans love Coldplay's gesture
In response to the video, one fan expressed, "Why am I in tears? More cold is necessary; their connection is invaluable." Another comment noted, "They consistently exhibit such sweetness." An X user remarked, "I would be thrilled to see them collaborate on another song." A Twitter user stated, "This is the best collaboration ever @Coldplay."
A comment stated, "The moment I laid eyes on the sphere, I recognized it as my universe, and I envisioned my loved ones before me while singing the song. My mother and I performed the song together. Even though we experienced it at home, I was overwhelmed with emotions; my heart felt incredibly heavy, and it was a sensation that words could not adequately convey."
About BTS and Coldplay
BTS and Coldplay unveiled their collaborative track "My Universe" in September 2021. The song incorporates lyrics in both Korean and English, with BTS members RM and Suga recognized as contributors to the songwriting process. Following the announcement of this partnership, Chris Martin discussed the collaboration during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
"We believed it would be a wonderful experience to perform this with BTS, as it seemed like an unlikely pairing. Ultimately, it became one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. I travelled to Korea to join them, and it was truly remarkable," he remarked.
BTS consists of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Jin completed his military service in June of the previous year, while J-Hope finished his in October 2024. The group is anticipated to reunite as a complete ensemble later this year, following the conclusion of all members' military obligations. Their last concert together took place in 2022 at the Yet to Come event in Busan, South Korea.
