Actor and Andhra Pradesh's deputy CM Pawan Kalyan's younger son, Mark Shankar Pavanovich, suffered injuries in a school fire in Singapore on Tuesday. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Chiranjeevi provided a positive update about Mark's condition, stating that he is now home and "recovering well."

Chiranjeevi shared in Telugu, which can be translated to, “Our little Mark Shankar is back home. He still has some healing to do. With the blessings of our family deity, Anjaneya Swamy, he will soon be completely healthy and back to his usual self. Tomorrow is Hanuman Jayanti, and that Lord protected us, saving the child from a serious danger and tragedy.”

He continued, “Following the incident, folks from different areas and villages came together to support our family with their prayers and well wishes for Mark Shankar’s recovery. On behalf of my brother Pawan Kalyan and our whole family, I sincerely thank everyone for their kindness.”

What went down?

On April 8, a fire erupted at a shophouse on River Valley Road in Singapore, injuring several people, including Pawan's eight-year-old son, Mark Shankar. Mark suffered injuries to his hands and legs and faced respiratory issues from smoke inhalation. Firefighters and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) quickly arrived to extinguish the flames.

On Tuesday evening, Pawan shared an update about Mark's condition. He mentioned, “Our youngest son, Mark Shankar, was hurt in a school fire in Singapore and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. He is slowly on the mend.” At the time of the fire, Pawan was on an official trip in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. He traveled to Singapore that Tuesday night with his brother Chiranjeevi and sister-in-law Surekha.
