In the wake of the news regarding Arjun's arrest and subsequent custody by the Chikkadapally police, Chiranjeevi and Surekha were observed at their nephew's residence. The actor exhibited concern as he entered, momentarily acknowledging the assembled press before proceeding inside. A source close to Chiranjeevi informed Hindustan Times that he would not be visiting Allu Arjun at the police station to prevent further escalation of the situation, especially considering the presence of Arjun's fans outside the station.

What happened

On Friday, Arjun was taken into custody in relation to a fan's death that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. This arrest came just two days after the actor sought intervention from the Telangana High Court to dismiss the FIR filed against him by the police. In footage shared on X (formerly Twitter), Arjun was seen expressing his discontent with the police's actions, which included entering his home and accessing his bedroom. At the time of his arrest, he was accompanied by his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, his brother Allu Sirish, and his father, producer Allu Aravind.

Why was Allu Arjun arrested?

On December 4, Arjun attended a screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, at Sandhya Theatre, accompanied by his wife Sneha and co-star Rashmika Mandanna. Following his visit, the situation escalated, leading to the tragic death of a fan and the hospitalization of a young boy. The police have stated that they were not informed of Arjun's attendance at the theatre and have initiated legal action against both the actor and the theatre management. To date, four arrests have been made in connection with this case.
