Chiranjeevi lands in a major controversy

The film centres on the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson, prompting the presentation of a unique clip at the event that featured Chiranjeevi alongside his grandchildren, the majority of whom are female. 

In response to inquiries about the video, Chiranjeevi humorously noted that he is perpetually in the company of girls at home, comparing his role to that of a hostel warden managing them. He also expressed, "This is one of the reasons I wish to encourage Ram Charan to have a son this time, to carry on my legacy."

Chiranjeevi's comments get widespread hatred

The remarks made by Chiranjeevi have not been well received by numerous individuals on social media. Several netizens and prominent journalists from the North have criticized him for his comments, labelling them as sexist. This statement has sparked an online discussion, with many condemning the veteran actor for suggesting that only a male successor could perpetuate his legacy.

Currently, Chiranjeevi has yet to address the criticism; however, the ensuing controversy has unintentionally highlighted Brahma Anandam in the lead-up to its release. A close associate of Chiranjeevi has come to his defence, asserting that his comments were misinterpreted and taken out of context. The source further emphasized that Chiranjeevi holds great affection for his granddaughters and was thrilled when Ram Charan welcomed a baby girl.
